2016 – What to look forward to!

2016 is shaping up to be an exciting one in more than just one way.  From a personal stand point, I have completed the first manuscript for my YA Sci-Fi Series titled Watcher (more to come soon) and am currently sending it to an editor for help.  Not only that, but there is so much coming for YA books from new series, continued series and many movies made from my favourite YA books!

Here are a few books I’m excited to read:

  • Throne of Glass #5 (untitled) by Sarah J. Maas – if you haven’t yet read this series I highly recommend, Sarah J. Maas creates a spectacular character in Celaena Sardothien and I can’t wait to read more. Queen of Shadows is my book of 2015
  •  Glass Sword (Red Queen #2) by Victoria Averyard
  • Passenger by Alexandra Bracken
  • The Last Star (5th Wave #3) by Rick Yancey – The first book 5th Wave will be coming out in theatres early January as well! I’m stoked to see this adaptation into film.
  • Stars Above (Lunar Chronicles) by Marissa Meyer – I must admit I have not yet read Winter, despite pre-ordering it a year ago! I promise to get to it soon and will write a review on it asap! But these small books will likely help continue the storey.
  • Truthwitch by Susan Dennard – this book looks promising and has gotten good reviews so far.

This is just a few books I have picked out as MUST READS for 2016.  I know there are so many more, and please let me know if I have missed any of your favourites.  I will be sure to review all of these!

There are also a few books coming to theatres this year, like the previously mentioned 5th Wave.  Here are a few I am excited for:

  • 5th Wave coming Jan 15
  • Fantastic Beasts & Where to Find Them coming Nov 18 (Who isn’t thrilled for more HP!?)
  • Allegiant: Part 1 (Divergent Series) coming March 18
  • Miss Peregine’s Home for Peculiar Children coming Dec 25

2016 is going to be a great year in books (and in relation, movies) and I can’t wait to find out what else will come!

Stay tuned for many reviews on books, updates on MUST READS and, of course, sneak peaks into my new book Watcher!

Until next time…
Amy Eversley
