Empire of Storms – Sarah J. Maas Book Review

The long path to the throne has only just begun for Aelin Galathynius.

Loyalties have been broken and bought, friends have been lost and gained, and those who possess magic find themselves at odds with those don’t.
As the kingdoms of Erilea fracture around her, enemies must become allies if Aelin is to keep those she loves from falling to the dark forces poised to claim her world. With war looming on all horizons, the only chance for salvation lies in a desperate quest that may mark the end of everything Aelin holds dear.

Arlin’s journey from assassin to queen has entranced millions across the globe, and this fifth installment will leave fans breathless. Will Aelin succeed in keeping her world from splintering, or will it all come crashing down?

PLEASE NOTE: I have avoided all spoilers, so feel safe reading.

Wow…as I finished this book that was the only words I could come up with. Wow. Sarah J. Maas is beyond amazing at building a world that you can picture so vividly that you can almost feel the wind lowing in your hair and smell the pines of the forest.

Aelin world connects with all the other characters we’ve loved and know over the past four books in a way that seems so natural and necessary in ways that we don’t even understand until the very end. Even then we’re left with questions that have me wishing the next book would come out tomorrow!

There are so many things in this book I want to talk about, but so many spoilers I am choosing not to give away. But just know, when you guys read this book I am dying to talk about it!!

Clearly I’m giving this book 5 stars.

Let me know what you also think.
Until next time…
